A SONG OF HOPE

“A Song of HOPE” by the Musicians Union of Liberia led by H.E. Dr. George Manneh Weah President of the Republic of Liberia with support from the Monrovia City Government; produced and directed by the Liberia Crusaders for Peace: 
 
"A SONG OF HOPE" on Coronavirus. 
 
This song seeks to create awareness and sensitize the general Liberian public and beyond. The message informs and cautions all citizens to take the COVID-19 pandemic very serious and should follow all recommendations from the WHO and the US CDC in order to stop the further spread of the disease and save the country.  
 
It can be recalled that in 2014, the Ebola epidemic ravaged Liberia, Guinea and Sierra Leone. This resulted into the loss of over 11,000 lives in Liberia and left thousands of survivors in its wake. Today, many still live with that trauma including survivors, who continue to experience various health complications.  
 
The President of the Republic of Liberia along with the Liberian national government, Monrovia City Corporation, the Liberia Crusaders for Peace and the Musicians Union of Liberia have continued to work even harder despite numerous challenges that confront Liberia today. United as they stand, they remain engaged to stop the spread of the virus cognizant of the fact that there is a need to contain or control the outbreak. Currently, there are nearly 113 cases reported in Liberia.  
 
Liberians now know all too well how devastating an infectious disease or virus outbreak can be. We all need to learn from the past to save ourselves, our families and our communities from this deadly pandemic which has brought great nations of the world to their kneels.  
 
We are all in this together, Stay Home, SAVE LIVES!

This song includes the collaborative efforts of The Music Union of Liberia, The Liberia Crusaders for Peace (Amb.
